Claire is a freelance illustrator and artist. She illustrated her first children’s book The Witch’s Hat after graduating from Camberwell College of Arts. Claire has illustrated many traditional tales and especially loves  drawing children and animals. Originally working predominantly in traditional pencil and water colour Claire now finishes her pencil sketch digitally.

 

Past clients include Harper Collins, Puffin, Oxford University Press, Tamarind, Ladybird Books and Laura Ashley.

 

As well as illustration Claire has always been interested in life drawing and portraiture.
Claire has painted several portraits of adults and children using traditional oil paint on canvas. Claire has also been involved with 'Wild in art', working on public art projects including Pride of Northampton, Go Safari, Stand Tall, and The 2012 London Olympic Stroll Trail.
